Uganda like many other countries is greatly affected by covid 19. Sectors like education, entatainment, tourism, and business have been hit hard by Covid 19 lockdown thus misfortunes for many people.
The good news though is that covid 19 has got vaccines that can help the body fight and reduce its severe effects. Much as nations have embraced mass vaccination, there is low uptake of these vaccines in uganda because of missinformation said about their safety in rural and urban communities.
On 6 september 2021, United States donated 647,080 COVID-19 Vaccines to Uganda through Her Excellency Natalie E Brown, the US Ambassador to Uganda. Her grate message directed to journalists, medical workers, teachers and parents about the safety of Covid 19 vaccines gives a lot of hope to those already vaccinated and dispels all fears among those who still fear to be vaccinated. We are in a critical moment that needs such gems like Her Excellency Ambassador Natalie E Brown to give hope to those living in despair. Covid 19 vaccines are safe and we can be safe only if we are all vaccinated. The generosity of US towards Uganda is endearing and worthy celebrations in this critical time.
